Alexandra Rose Raisman was born on the 25th of May, 1994. She is a retired American artist gymnast. She was the captain of both the 2012 "Fierce Five" and the 2016 "Final Five" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics teams. Both took home their respective team competitions.At the 2012 Olympics in London she took home gold medals in the team and floor competitions, along with the bronze medal on the balance beam, making her the most accomplished American gymnast in the Games. She was awarded a gold team medal during the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Gabby Douglas and Raisman are the only Americans to have back-to-back gold medals in this competition. Raisman also won silver medals in the individual all-around and for floor exercise. She is the third-highest accomplished American gymnast in Olympic history, just behind Shannon Miller and Simone Biles who have won six Olympic medals.Raisman was also part of the gold-winning American teams in the 2011 and 2015 World Championships, and the world bronze medalist in floor exercise in 2011. She is also two-time national champion in floor exercises (2012 and 2015) as well as the national champion in balance beam in 2012. She was also five times medalist in the national all-around championships (silver bronze, silver 2011, 2012 and in 2015). Inducted into the International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame in 2013.
