Kristen Anne Bell is an American actor and singer born in the year 1980. Bell is a Michigan native who was born and was raised by her parents Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). Her heritage includes Polish (mother) as well as German, English, Irish, and Scottish (father). Kristen was able to show a flair for the arts at a young stage. She went to her audition in 1992 and got a role on Raggedy Ann, and Andy. Bell was signed by her mother as an agent at the age of was 13 years old. Bell was later selected for newspapers ads as well as TV commercials. Bell also began taking private acting classes around that time. Bell played an uncredited part on Polish Wedding (1998), an upcoming film. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School and was a member of the music club and the drama club. The Wizard of Oz production in her high school earned Bell the leading Dorothy character. Bell was a student of in musical theater at the world-renowned Tisch School of the Arts in New York City after graduating. Bell left the school in 2001, when she took the role of Becky in the film Tom Sawyer. In 2001, it was also when Bell's debut appearance was in a film that was credited to her, Pootie Tang (2002). Unfortunately her scene is cut off and only the credits show her. Bell played in the Broadway revival of The Crucible starring Liam Neeson & Angela Bettis.
