Salma Hayek had her first large Hollywood part in Robert Rodriguez's Desperado. Then her fame grew in the form of Frida and an Academy Award nomination. Hayek is also involved in TV work and was the chief executive producer of the hit series Ugly Betty. Salma Hayek Jimenez, daughter of Spanish and Lebanese parents was born in Mexico on the 2nd of September 1996, at Coatzacoalcos.
